The University of Macau was founded in 2000 and has grown rapidly to become the largest comprehensive university in Macau. Before
1. Choose Your Course
2. Contact Intended Supervisor
Prospective applicants for the following courses are required to contact their intended supervisor before submitting their application:
Ph.D.: Science, Mathematics, Advanced Networks, Artificial Intelligence, Chinese Medicine, Traditional Chinese Medicine, Integrative Medicine, Pharmacy, Fine Arts, Design, Communication, Film Management, Architecture, Music, Earth and Planetary Science, Intelligent Science and Systems.
Master's degree: Traditional Chinese Medicine, Chinese Pharmacy, Clinical Medicine Integrating Chinese and Western Medicine, Pharmacy.
3. Prepare Application Documents
Prepare the documents required for registration in advance: identity documents, academic certificates and transcripts, recommendation letters, research plans, etc.
4. Submit Online Application
Fill in the application information and upload the application documents according to the instructions, and submit the online application before 6:00 pm on the registration deadline.
5. Pay the registration fee
For general admission applicants: MOP600 for Macao residents and HKD600 for non-Macao residents. The application fee can be paid electronically through the online application system.
Applicants for recommended admission/sponsored admission: The application fee can be waived after passing the preliminary review.
After
1. Preliminary review
The application will be reviewed by the Graduate School for completeness. If the review fails, there will be one opportunity to submit additional documents and be reviewed again. If the review still fails, you will not be able to enter the selection stage.
2. Selection
Successful applicants will have their application documents forwarded to the enrolled college/institute for selection.
3. Entrance examination
Each institution will inform the selected applicants whether they need to take the entrance examination as needed. The entrance examination arrangement for each applicant is different and all arrangements will be announced through the online registration system.
4. Admission results
The university will select the best candidates for admission in batches until the quota is full.
5. Confirm admission and payment
Those who have been admitted must pay the fee on time according to the payment notice downloaded from the online registration system. After payment, you must upload the payment receipt for verification.
6. Online registration and enrollment
New students who have paid tuition fees will generally receive an online registration notice before admission. Please pay attention to the latest announcement from the university.
Enrollment Requirements
★ Master's degree program: A bachelor's degree/bachelor's degree is required. Unless otherwise specified, both current and past undergraduate graduates can apply.
★ Doctoral degree program: A master's degree is required (except for those who go directly to a doctorate from undergraduate studies). Unless otherwise specified, both current and past master's graduates can apply.
Notes: 1. All master's degree programs are full-time programs. The normal study period for the master's degree programs of the School of Chinese Medicine and the School of Pharmacy is 2.5 years, and the maximum study period is 4 years; the normal study period for other master's degree programs is 2 years, and the maximum study period is 3 years.
2. Doctoral programs are full-time, and typically span 3 years, with a maximum duration of 6 years for completion.
3. If an applicant fails to submit the required application / registration documents during the application / admission period, or submits false or forged documents, his/her application / admission qualification will be cancelled.
